PROJECT INFO
The Symantec Culver City office complex is a construction project
comprising 497,000 square feet of office space and a six-level
parking structure. Principles of sustainability were incorporated
throughout the design and construction of the building, and the
project achieved a LEED-Gold Certification.
Amongst other features, the project was built with an advanced
under floor ventilation system designed to deliver optimal thermal
comfort control for building occupants, indoor fixtures that reduce
water use by more than 40 percent, and an active pH control system
at the cooling towers, which significantly reduces the need to use
potable water for maintaining building systems. Combined with the
project’s other water-saving measures, this saves close to 2.5
million gallons of potable water per year.
