Drug manufacturing is a tightly regulated industry requiring traceability, validation and qualification at each step of the project. This includes design, installation, operational and performance qualification to name few of the many steps that are integral to building a pharmaceutical plant.

As pharmaceutical companies race to find a cure for the country’s Coronavirus pandemic, Pan-Pacific is proud to be working with a handful of them by providing process design-assist services. Our Process Piping Division currently has over a dozen active jobs that range from fabricating FDA regulated spool pieces for a confidential client to projects with Johnson & Johnson and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Pharmaceutical products require exceptionally rigorous standards of cleanliness. In order to meet these standards, pharmaceutical Process Piping systems are contained within special cleanrooms, environments with a controlled level of contamination (environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors). Because it is so important to keep pollutants out of these clean rooms, the air and ventilation systems are also vital to the manufacturing process. Process Piping systems are held to an even more stringent standard than the cleanrooms that contain them, making Pan-Pacific’s role in these projects a crucial one.
