As Northern California anxiously awaited its new homebase in Fremont, CA, teams were busy putting the finishing touches on the two-story modern office building.
Located off the 880 Freeway, the 47,331 SQ FT office offers employees an open floor plan with polished concrete floors, exposed ceilings and abundant natural lighting. Three separate kitchen spaces can be found throughout the office. The first floor offers a spacious breakroom with center island and modern garage-style patio doors leading to an outdoor putting green, as well as, a BBQ patio area for entertaining. The War Room features a full kitchen space for group gatherings and catered office occasions. An additional coffee bar kitchenette can be found for employees on the second floor, while four conference rooms are located throughout the building providing collaborative meeting spaces for employees.
Take the central elevator or 1 of 3 staircases to the second floor where the upstairs glass wall balcony overlooks the lower entry and reception area. (Pictured below). New work stations equipped with adjustable height desks were installed on both floors allowing a collaborative work environment for every department. Employees are able take a break from their work hours to exercise in the on-site furnished gym.
An abundance of parking spaces increased employee parking needs from the previous Menlo Park office giving employees 166 parking spaces including three new EV charging stations that will each charge two vehicles. The warehouse size increased size by approximately 5,000 square feet to support our prefabrication needs.
A team effort brought the entire project to fruition with a move out of the Menlo Park office in late March. As shelter-in-place orders slowly began to lift in the Bay Area, many employees returned for a fresh start in Fremont. Cheers to a prosperous future in the new Northern California homebase!
